What makes the Lewright Meats difference?

For 3 generations, Lewright Meats has been preparing and processing the highest quality beef and pork. The first difference comes with their local, corn-fed sourced meat. The taste and quality are second to none because of this choice, and they continue to source much of their beef and pork from the same central, Iowa farm families they did generations ago.

The traditions of meat processing and preparation are not lost at Lewright Meats. Instead, they are continued and perfected.

All of our hickory smoked meats are slow smoked with wood right out of our home county of Wright County.

Every ham smoked at Lewrights is dry rubbed by hand and cured with a brown sugar cure. Every ham that comes in is hand-netted, hand-trimmed and hung in our smoke house.

All of our well-known bacon is dry rubbed, including our cottage bacon, which is then rubbed with a brown sugar cure.

The snack sticks and jerky, also slow smoked and hand-laid in our local hickory wood smoker, are seasoned by hand to ensure perfection in each piece. We continue to add flavors to these to delight each meat lover.

Our quality beef is dry-aged 10 days to two weeks. Along with the dry-aging, we utilize a sharp freeze, in which the cuts of aged beef are put in the sharp freeze (in the coldest portion of the freeze) for a short amount of time to preserve the beef cuts at the peak of taste quality.
